The Opportunity: Serve the Urban Italian Experience

Donatello’s The Urban Trattoria is looking for an experienced server with bartending knowledge to join our team in the heart of Downtown Winder. Our concept blends modern Italian cuisine, house-made pasta, handcrafted pizzas, and a vibrant, art-forward atmosphere.

We are seeking hospitality professionals who are passionate about guest experience, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and capable of delivering elevated service. Our servers are not just order takers—they are ambassadors of the brand and guides to the dining experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience

• Warmly greet guests and create a welcoming, energetic dining experience.
• Manage table flow and service within your section while maintaining attention to detail and timing.
• Build rapport with guests and create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.

Menu & Beverage Knowledge

• Become an expert on our menu, including ingredients, preparation, and daily specials.
• Provide thoughtful food, wine, and cocktail recommendations.
• Confidently upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience.

Bartending Knowledge

• Must have working bartending experience and strong familiarity with classic cocktails, wine service, and bar operations.
• Ability to assist behind the bar when needed and confidently discuss cocktail and wine selections with guests.

Service & Operations

• Accurately take and enter orders using our POS system (TOAST).
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining service standards.
• Handle payments and transactions accurately.

Teamwork

• Assist teammates with running food, bussing tables, and resetting sections when needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth service.

Compliance

• Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations (TIPS/ServSafe preferred).

QualificationsRequired

• Bartending experience or strong cocktail knowledge
• Strong communication and guest-service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred

• Experience with TOAST or similar POS systems
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and culture
• Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy
