Job Summary:
The Joinery Sales Engineer / Achitect is responsible for driving sales and business development of joinery products and services. This role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and providing expert advice on joinery solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in joinery, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients in the construction, architecture, and interior design industries.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide technical support and expert advice on joinery products and solutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the benefits and features of the company’s joinery offerings.
Technical Expertise:
- Understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings related to joinery products.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure client requirements are met.
- Offer solutions to technical problems and provide recommendations to clients.
Proposal and Quotation Preparation:
- Prepare detailed and accurate proposals and quotations based on client specifications.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to close sales effectively.
- Ensure all proposals and quotations are aligned with company pricing policies and profit margins.
Project Management:
- Oversee joinery projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review.
- Ensure all sales documentation and contracts are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the joinery, construction, or interior design industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of joinery products and solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAD software or other design tools.
- Knowledge of the local market and industry contacts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with frequent visits to client sites.
- Occasional travel for client meetings and industry events.
