Job Describtion:
- Supervision and Leadership: The ward incharge is responsible for supervising and leading the ward staff, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and support staff. They provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Patient Care: The ward incharge ensures that patients receive appropriate care and treatment. They monitor patient progress, assess their needs, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. They also ensure that patients' rights and privacy are respected.
- Staff Management: The ward incharge is responsible for staff scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and managing staff performance. They provide training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge. They also handle any disciplinary issues that may arise.
- Quality Assurance: The ward incharge ensures that the ward operates in compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures. They monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Communication and Collaboration: The ward incharge serves as a liaison between the ward staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. They facilitate effective communication, promote teamwork, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Administrative Tasks: The ward incharge is responsible for various administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. They may also participate in budgeting and resource allocation.
- Emergency Management: The ward incharge plays a key role in emergency situations, such as code blue or disaster response. They coordinate and lead the ward staff in implementing emergency protocols and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
