Key Responsibilities

1. Admission & Discharge Coordination

  • Use hospital software to admit patients. Contribute in billing whenever required.
  • Prepare bed, linens, and surrounding area before patient arrival.
  • Inform the doctor team and take pre-operative instructions.
  • Handle discharge procedures, including verifying discharge summary, educating the patient/attendant on medication and post-care.

2. Patient Care & Monitoring

  • Perform admission assessments and pre-operative checklist.
  • Prepare patients for OT and coordinate with OT and housekeeping.
  • Collect detailed post-op handovers and follow post-op instructions.
  • Monitor vitals and symptoms; administer treatment as per doctor's orders.
  • Maintain hygiene, positioning, and comfort.
  • Communicate empathetically and escalate issues promptly.

3. Procedure Assistance & Preparation

  • Assist in bedside procedures and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Monitor and document post-procedure outcomes.

4. Nursing Documentation

  • Timely and accurate nursing chart entries and EMR updates.
  • Record intake/output, medication, and shift-wise handovers.
  • Maintain NABH-compliant documentation.

5. Inventory & Supply Management

  • Daily consumables and equipment logging.
  • Ensure inventory documentation and timely replenishment.
  • Safe handling of patient belongings and emergency items checklist.

6. Infection Control & Hygiene Maintenance

  • Adhere strictly to hand hygiene protocols.
  • Ensure biomedical waste disposal and ward cleanliness.
  • Work closely with housekeeping for linen and area sanitation.

7. Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain quiet and professional communication, using inhouse phones only.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (doctors, pharmacy, diagnostics, and administration) and communicate clearly with attendants.
  • Report issues to the OT Coordinator or Operations In-Charge.

8. Patient & Attendant Education

  • Educate on medications, wound care, hygiene, diet, follow-ups, and diagnostics.
  • Offer emotional and empathetic support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
