Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator

The Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and coordinating logistics activities supporting the movement of materials and finished goods between the United States and Mexico. This role ensures efficient material flow, accurate inventory management, and on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with transportation, customs, export regulations, and internal quality standards.

This position plays a critical role in supporting cross-border supply chain operations within a maquiladora manufacturing environment, including transportation coordination, customs documentation, and import/export compliance. The role also supports aerospace quality and traceability requirements through accurate documentation and record control.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions within ERP/WMS systems and support cycle counts
  • Ensure proper organization, labeling, staging, and preparation of materials for production and shipment

Transportation & Logistics

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and logistics providers
  • Schedule and track shipments to meet production and customer delivery requirements
  • Manage cross-border (U.S.–Mexico) shipments, in-bond freight, and port container movements
  • Monitor shipment status and resolve logistics issues proactively
  • Support freight optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and control costs

Import/Export & Customs Compliance

  • Prepare and manage international shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, etc.)
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance
  • Manage export filings (AES/ITN) and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support customs entry and in-bond shipment processes
  • Stay current on applicable trade regulations and tariff requirements

Material Traceability & Quality

  • Maintain traceability of materials and finished goods (lot, batch, serial numbers)
  • Ensure required certifications and documentation accompany shipments
  • Support compliance with internal quality systems and aerospace standards

Documentation & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate shipping, customs, and compliance records
  • Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with regulatory and customer requirements

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce warehouse safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and maintain an organized work environment

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to warehouse, inventory, and logistics processes
  • Support initiatives to enhance cross-border efficiency and reduce transportation delays

Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, procurement, production, and finance teams
  • Coordinate with external logistics providers and support U.S.–Mexico operations
Requirements:

What you need...

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain roles
  • Experience coordinating transportation and logistics activities
  • Experience with U.S. export filings (AES/ITN) required
  • Experience supporting U.S.–Mexico cross-border shipments required
  • Experience with import/export documentation and customs processes required
  • Previous leadership or team coordination experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Knowledge of cross-border logistics and transportation coordination
  • Familiarity with customs documentation, in-bond shipments, and broker coordination
  • Understanding of export compliance and international trade regulations
  • Knowledge of maquiladora/IMMEX operations required
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Export Specialist (CES)
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
  • APICS / ASCM Supply Chain Certification
  • Forklift certification

Salary Description:

$65,000 - 80,000 annual DOQ

We are committed to providing pay ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The listed pay range is provided in good faith and is subject to adjustments in accordance with company policies and market conditions.

This position is eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus program based on company performance goals. Bonus payouts are not guaranteed and are determined at the company's discretion.
