Warehouse and Operations Manager

India

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Lead and own the daily functioning of the warehouse including inbound, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Ensure all operational activities meet required SLAs, safety standards, and process adherence.
  • Implement and continuously improve SOPs for each function across the warehouse.

2. TAT & Process Monitoring

  • Ensure Inbound TAT (Turnaround Time) is within defined benchmarks from GRN to put-away.
  • Maintain strict Outbound TAT targets to enable timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Track and improve RU (Ready to Use) percentage by ensuring inventory is processed and sellable promptly.

3. Warehouse Space Utilization

  • Strategically optimize warehouse layout and bin management to maximize storage and throughput.
  • Monitor space usage metrics and forecast capacity needs for future scaling.

4. Ticket & Escalation Management

  • Own and resolve all warehouse-related escalations from internal teams, delivery partners, or marketplaces.
  • Ensure timely closure of tickets with root-cause identification and preventive actions.

5. Manpower Efficiency & Management

  • Plan, train, and manage the warehouse workforce (permanent and contract).
  • Drive improvements in productivity (orders handled per person) and enforce discipline, quality, and safety protocols.
  • Lead staffing planning for peak sales periods, new launches, or store openings.

6. Cost Optimization

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in warehousing, packaging, and logistics.
  • Work with 3PLs and vendors to reduce cost per shipment while maintaining quality.
  • Monitor and control usage of consumables and overheads.

7. Inventory Accuracy & Audits

  • Drive cycle count processes, periodic audits, and zero-tolerance policy for shrinkage or stock discrepancies.
  • Maintain >99% inventory accuracy across channels.

8. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Act as a central point of contact between Supply Chain, Marketplace, D2C, Tech, Catalog, and Customer Service teams.
  • Collaborate with business and planning teams for inward flow, RTVs, and seasonal planning.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficient with WMS platforms, Excel/Google Sheets, and basic reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of Unicommerce, Shopify, or similar order management tools is preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing warehouse operations for fashion, lifestyle, or high-SKU businesses is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and build scalable processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, team leadership, and data analysis skills.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
