Job Description
The Warehouse Assistant 10M26 position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role involves a variety of tasks including the receiving, handling, storing, and packing of goods within the warehouse. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, operating warehouse machinery, and organizing stock. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working well in a team environment. You must be able to work efficiently under pressure, adhere to all safety regulations, and contribute to achieving the warehouse's daily operational goals. Responsibilities

Receive and process incoming stock and materials from suppliers promptly.

Organize and maintain inventory by storing items in designated locations.

Pick and pack products for shipments accurately according to order requests.

Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and condition.

Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and warehouse layout.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the inventory control manager.

Assist in cycle counts and annual physical inventory checks within the warehouse.

Coordinate with transport companies to schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.

Assist in the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures.

Provide support during peak operational periods and assist with additional duties as needed.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed during work.

Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively.

Strong organizational skills to effectively manage time and inventory tasks.

Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation purposes.
