Warehouse Assistant / Storekeeper

Overview

Primary Title: Storekeeper / Warehouse Assistant

A company operating in the Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations sector in the United Arab Emirates, delivering warehousing, inventory control and distribution services to commercial and retail customers. We are hiring on-site warehouse talent to support efficient receiving, storage and dispatch across a fast-moving operation.

Location: United Arab Emirates

Workplace: On-site (warehouse/stockroom)

Role & Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments: verify quantities, inspect for damage, and record receipts into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or manual logs.
• Perform accurate stock-putaway and location management to maximise space utilisation and maintain easy retrieval.
• Pick, pack and prepare outbound orders for dispatch to meet daily shipping schedules and SLA targets.
• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts; reconcile variances and escalate discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, health & safety standards, and proper storage of hazardous/non-hazardous items.
• Assist with loading/unloading, palletising and documentation for transport; support continuous process improvements and cross-functional coordination.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 1+ year experience in warehouse, logistics, or storekeeping role in a commercial/retail/3PL environment.
• Hands-on experience with goods receiving, picking, packing and basic inventory reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory spreadsheets and basic MS Excel (VLOOKUP, SUM).
• Physically fit for manual handling, prolonged standing and lifting up to company-specified limits.
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Preferred

• Forklift / FLT certification and experience operating material-handling equipment.
• Previous exposure to shipping documentation, delivery coordination and ERP interfaces.
• Basic English communication skills; Arabic language skills a plus for UAE operations.
