Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Incharge:
- Supervision and Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Manage warehouse staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and addressing any issues.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Implement and optimize inventory control systems to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Logistics and Operations:
- Manage the flow of goods within the warehouse, from receiving to shipping.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee the use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe for employees.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with other departments, including sales, procurement.
- Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to warehouse operations.
