Wara Group General Trading & Contracting Company is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, manage inventory of trading goods and project materials, and ensure efficient logistics support for both trading and contracting divisions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating dispatches, and leading the warehouse team. The position reports to the Trading & Commercial Manager or Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to reconcile system data with physical stock.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety policies, security protocols, and housekeeping standards.
- Manage the warehouse team, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with the procurement and project teams to ensure timely receipt and issuance of materials as per project requirements and sales orders.
- Prepare and process shipping and receiving documents, including GRNs (Goods Received Notes) and delivery notes.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the procurement department.
- Manage the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the trading, construction, or industrial supplies sector.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control practices, and health & safety regulations.
- Experience operating material handling equipment; a valid forklift operator license is required.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a warehouse environment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Valid Kuwaiti driving license.
