A Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, focusing on logistics, stock control, and safety to ensure efficient storage and movement of goods. Key responsibilities include managing inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse space, leading and training staff, coordinating with suppliers and transport companies, enforcing safety protocols, and analyzing performance data to improve operations. Essential skills for this role involve strong leadership, organizational abilities, excellent communication, proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations:

Manage and coordinate all daily activities, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, packing, shipping, and dispatching of goods.

Inventory & Stock Control:

Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize stockouts, and perform stock rotation.

Logistics:

Oversee the movement of goods, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers and other facilities.

Space Utilization:

Optimize warehouse layout and design to ensure efficient use of space and resources, and manage the storage of materials.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff, assigning tasks and appraising results to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Safety & Compliance:

Develop and enforce health, safety, security, and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Performance Analysis:

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data and performance reports (e.g., IN/OUT status, dead stock reports), and implement actionable plans for loss prevention and continuous improvement.

Budget Management:

Prepare annual budgets, monitor warehouse costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize operations.

Leadership & Communication:

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate and influence effectively.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical and numerical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop strategic plans and solutions.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related software, along with strong IT skills, especially with spreadsheets and databases.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex operations, maintain accuracy, and ensure smooth workflows.

Experience:

Demonstrable experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, and team leadership.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, extensive practical experience is a must.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
