About the Role

The Warehouse Manager position is a mid-to-senior level leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations within a dynamic logistics company based in Riyadh. This onsite role focuses on optimizing inventory management, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring the seamless storage, handling, and distribution of goods. The position plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency, upholding safety standards, and supporting the company’s supply chain objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch of goods to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Manage and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and ongoing development.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and ensure proper documentation of all inventory movements.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and transportation teams to optimize inbound and outbound shipments, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities, continuously improving processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technologies to track inventory, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated storage systems, ensuring all equipment is serviced and operational.
  • Prepare and manage warehouse budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.


Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in warehouse management or a similar logistics leadership role, preferably within a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehouse operations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Effective communication skills in English (and Arabic is highly advantageous), both written and verbal, for clear coordination with staff and external partners.
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, and resource allocation within a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Familiarity with automated material handling equipment and modern warehouse technologies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or similar credentials are advantageous.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or experience overseeing equipment safety is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in warehouse and logistics management.
