Warehouse Manager

South San Francisco, United States

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of three warehouse locations in South San Francisco, Portland, and Corona. This leadership role ensures efficient handling of domestic and international shipments, inventory control, personnel supervision, and operational excellence. The Warehouse Manager also serves as the key liaison between warehouse operations and corporate/executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international shipping, transportation, parcel management and LTL.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control and order fulfillment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, warehouse optimization, technology adaptation and industry best practices.
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s to track efficiency, cost control and service levels.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all facilities

Personnel & Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train and supervise warehouse staff.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of 18, including 4 supervisors
  • Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct evaluations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Inventory Management

  • Ensure accurate inventory records and cycle counts
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and discrepancies
  • Collaborate with purchasing and finance to manage inventory and reporting

Strategic & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Represent warehouse operations in executive meetings and cross-departmental initiatives
  • Communicate regularly with corporate leadership regarding KPIs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Support strategic initiatives related to warehouse optimization, technology, and cost control
  • Work with manager to set annual warehousing budget

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably with multi-site responsibility
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and inventory tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with executive leadership
  • Ability to travel regularly between warehouse locations as needed

Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, standard business hours, in office

Compensation Details: The expected base salary for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
