Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Warehouse Manager to fill a position within our Operations department. This is an exempt position with a salary between $83,000 - $96,000. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Seattle Branch.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm

Your Role:

• Manage the warehouse activities to ensure the smooth flow of cargo for both inbound and outbound movements to insure customer and vendor satisfaction.
• Promote a work environment where shifts work in conjunction to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all necessary reports and records are complete, timely, and accurate.
• Ensure all freight forwarding activities abide by all government laws and regulations at origin and destination.
• Ensure the employees are well trained, knowledgeable and possess all necessary certifications, as well as complete assigned tasks and grow into positions with additional responsibility.
• Encourage and facilitate communication and team concepts of mutual support and communication.
• When necessary, interview for new potential candidates.
• Maintain consistent performance expectations, providing continual evaluation and appropriate feedback both positive and negative as required. As well as complete semiannual performance evaluations and recommend wage changes.
• Make sure the department provides the support required by other departments and stations.
• Enforce compliance to all policies, regulations and procedures to minimize compliance violations for TSA, USDA, FDA etc.
• Manage inventories for all necessary supplies.
• Make sure the equipment, vehicles and facility are well maintained, secure and safe to use.
• Manage warehouse providers (transportation, maintenance, packaging, fuel etc.) continually monitor quality, service and reliability of providers.
• Enforce compliance to all policies, regulations and procedures.
• Promote a safe, secure work environment maintaining all necessary compliance requirements.
• Enforce that employees have steel-tip shoes, temperature probes, uniforms etc. with them to perform their duties to minimize employee’s exposure to safety risks.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education in business or management is a plus.
• Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check.
• 2 years of management experience in logistics.
• Computer literacy including e-mail, web browsing, outlook, excel and word.
• Abel to stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hour shift.
• Able to lift 35 lbs.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus.
• Complete freight forwarding forms and documents.

Work environment is fast paced; multi-tasking and handling high-pressure situations is preferred. Operation business depending on the season - weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Available by phone for critical assistance outside normal operating hours.
