Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, dispatch, inventory control, and compliance with company standards. The role involves supervising warehouse staff, ensuring workplace safety, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining accurate records to support smooth supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations Management
· Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
· Ensure all orders are processed accurately and on time.
· Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of the warehouse.
· Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
2. Inventory Control
· Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
· Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure proper labeling, storage methods, and FIFO/FEFO practices.
3. Team Leadership & Supervision
· Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assistants, forklift operators, and helpers.
· Prepare shift schedules and manage staff allocation according to workload.
· Evaluate staff performance and enforce company policies.
4. Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain updated records of inventory, GRNs, delivery notes, and dispatch documents.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
· Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and finance for documentation compliance.
5. Safety, Compliance & Maintenance
· Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company safety policies.
· Conduct toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
· Monitor proper usage of PPE and safe equipment handling (e.g., forklifts).
· Ensure warehouse equipment and tools are in good working condition.
6. Process Improvement
· Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
· Improve layout planning to optimize warehouse space and workflow.
· Support digital solutions like WMS or ERP to enhance accuracy and productivity.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
· 5–7 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Experience in manufacturing or trading environments preferred.
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
· Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
· Knowledge of HSE regulations and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001 preferred).
Soft Skills
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
