Job Summary
The Operator role has active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility with various activities. The Warehouse roles primary work functions include but are not limited to picking and staging orders, loading and unload trucks/trailers, properly storing finished feed and ingredients, operating the packing line, and daily housekeeping activities. The position works closely with production and maintenance colleagues to determine daily workflow and request/report and repairs. Additionally, the role interfaces closely with the site Quality Assurance Manager, reporting any quality concerns. Understands and follows company policies and procedures pertinent to the role. This is a day shift role.

Job Description

  • Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility during scheduled shift of work.
  • Check daily orders and determine orders to be picked and staged.
  • Load company loads, customer loads, and LTL carriers as needed.
  • Unload trucks as they come in.
  • Properly store finished feed and ingredients as they are received or manufactured according to Safety and Quality guidelines.
  • Operate the packing line to package finished feed or ingredients, following the schedule provided.
  • Through the day monitor housekeeping activities required for the area and clean as needed.
  • Help with trouble shooting issues with batches, yields, and bagging problems
  • Help in production as needed
  • Monitor the workplace for improvements and safety concerns
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor safely
  • Must have proven proficiency in most aspects of the warehouse environment
