Production Engineer – Shift Supervisor

Guardian Glass is seeking you to become our next Production Engineer at Guardian Egypt.

This position will be responsible for supporting smooth plant operations while driving safety, quality, operational efficiency, and team collaboration across the production environment. The role will focus on shift operations, coordination between production and supply chain activities, and ensuring stable manufacturing processes within the plant.
The Production Engineer will play a key role in leading technicians during shifts, supporting daily operational activities, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining high standards of safety and product quality.

This role works a rotating shift pattern.

What You Will Do

• Support and guide daily plant operations during assigned shifts to ensure safe and efficient production performance.
• Lead and coordinate technicians and operational teams during shift activities.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and support troubleshooting of operational and production-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee involvement, accountability, and hazard prevention.
• Monitor product quality and support actions to maintain production standards and process stability.
• Coordinate closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and operational continuity.
• Support production planning, operational reporting, and shift handovers.
• Track operational KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Build effective communication and collaboration across production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Assist in preparing reports, operational updates, and production documentation in a timely manner.
• Support employee engagement, coaching, teamwork, and operational discipline across the shift environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or industrial environments.
• Experience leading technicians, operators, or shift teams within a plant environment.
• Good understanding of safety, quality, and production processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts.
• Good command of English.

• Chemist or Chemical engineering background.
• Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in glass production or any heavy industry.
