Seeking a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in
planning, design, and engineering of Water Treatment Plants (WTPs). The role involves process design, detailed engineering review, technology evaluation, tender support, and coordination with internal and external project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support
planning, design and engineering of Water Treatment Plants including treatment processes, hydraulic profiles, plant layout, and system design. Perform
process design calculations, equipment sizing, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, and preparation of engineering drawings and reports. Review and evaluate detailed engineering designs, vendor submissions, and consultant deliverables for WTP projects. Evaluate and integrate
conventional treatment processes as well as advanced technologies including
membrane processes, UF/RO, ozonation, disinfection systems, and other modern water purification technologies. Prepare
technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, design basis reports (DBRs), and tender documents for WTP projects. Provide
technical support for bid evaluation, procurement and vendor assessment. Engage in
interdisciplinary coordination (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, PHE, Instrumentation) to ensure holistic WTP design and execution. Support in
proof-checking, risk assessment, value engineering and optimization to improve performance, cost efficiency and lifecycle sustainability of WTP systems. Contribute to
project planning, scheduling and documentation, ensuring adherence to quality, safety and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in
WTP process design, engineering and technology evaluation. Hands-on knowledge of
conventional and modern water treatment technologies, including membrane-based processes. Familiarity with relevant
design standards, codes and national/international guidelines for WTP systems. Sound analytical, technical report writing and engineering documentation skills. Ability to work
independently with high ownership, accountability and organizational planning. Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
Experience in
large-scale urban water supply projects. Experience in
DPR, feasibility studies or funding-agency-driven projects.
