A Brief Overview
The Web & Graphic Designer is responsible for designing the layout, visual elements and usability of the internal and external websites as well as production of print and digital creative materials. This involves working collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team to develop information architecture and visual designs that effectively optimizes and communicates the ideas being promoted for the health system.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Web design, graphic design, information technology or related field. Required


Experience Qualifications

3 years Web Design Required


Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of cross-browser behaviors and compatibility issues, with experience testing and troubleshooting websites across browsers and devices.
  • UX/UI skills, including designing intuitive navigation, clear call-to-actions, and responsive, accessible interfaces that guide users through key tasks.
  • Knowledge working with CMS products such as WordPress.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript. Frame works such as Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser behaviors and compatibility issues, with experience testing and troubleshooting websites across browsers and devices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  • Basic knowledge of digital photography and photo manipulation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.


What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain website pages, including navigation, layouts, and visual elements, ensuring usability, accessibility, and brand consistency.
  • Create and update site content and graphics in collaboration with writers, marketing staff, and designers.
  • Test site functionality across browsers and devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure responsive, accessible design.
  • Implement basic SEO best practices to maintain site visibility and relevancy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate goals and ideas into visually appealing, functional web designs.
  • Maintain documentation for website design, updates, and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist with production of creative materials, including but not limited to, print and online advertising, social media graphics, screensavers, outdoor media, brochures, direct mail, and flyers for internal and external marketing and communications.
  • Prepare files for printing; manage print vendors and production process.
  • Adhere to existing style manuals, publication guidelines, and branding specifications.
