Web CMS Specialist - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-time, Student Employee)

This part-time position typically works Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. This is a remote or hybrid position. Remote work is available for Idaho‑based employees only; Utah‑based employees will work in a hybrid capacity.

Essential Functions
  • Publish, update, and maintain web pages using the organization’s CMS
  • Format and organize content to ensure readability, accessibility, and consistency
  • Coordinate with content creators, designers, and developers to prepare pages for publishing
  • Ensure brand, style, and formatting standards are followed across web pages
  • Review and test pages before publishing to ensure links, layouts, and media function correctly
  • Assist with content audits and website updates to keep information accurate and current
  • Support website optimization efforts such as improving page structure and navigation
  • Document CMS processes and assist team members with publishing workflows

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working with a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress, Brightspot, Drupal, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail when formatting and publishing digital content
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Professional, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of website structure and digital content publishing

Additional Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web accessibility standards
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with digital asset management
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) and user-centered design principles
  • Students pursuing Communications, Digital Media, Information Systems, Marketing, or Web Design preferred
