This role is responsible for creating, editing, optimizing and maintaining content on Trine University’s website to ensure it is engaging, user-friendly and aligned with Trine University’s brand strategy. A strong focus on analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) is essential, as this position will play a key role in driving organic traffic and improving online visibility.
- Serve as administrator for trine.edu and other university websites as assigned
- Develop, write, edit, update, and publish high-quality web content that aligns with brand tone and organizational goals.
- Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and metadata management.
- Monitor website performance using analytics tools (e.g., GA4) and provide insights into the user journey as well as recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with other marketing, design, and digital marketing personnel to ensure content supports broader campaigns and digital strategy.
- Communicate with other departments to maintain and update website content for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Stay updated on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and digital content best practices.
- Ensure accessibility, readability, and mobile responsiveness across all content.
- Assist with content audits and contribute to strategies for improving site structure and user experience.
- As needed, work with outside contractors in areas such as web design, programming or hosting.
- Train web editors in other departments to update content in the ModernCampus CMS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in web content management, digital marketing, or a similar role.
