Job Summary - The Web Applications Designer is responsible for designing the overall layout and aesthetic of websites. Their duties include coding webpages or entire websites, meeting with clients to review website templates or refine their designs and running tests to preview layouts and website features.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and curating engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Develop digital campaigns that align with brand goals.
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
- Utilize graphic design skills to create visually appealing posts using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
- Support website maintenance and updates using content calendar management systems such as WordPress or Drupal, and use design software, like the Adobe Creative Suite, to produce digital assets.
- Analyze social media metrics using tools like Google Analytics and provide insights for improvement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas and strategies.
- Help manage email marketing campaigns through platforms like Mailchimp.
- Assist in user research and usability testing to enhance user experience across digital platforms.
- Social Media Support:
- Monitor and respond to comments and engagement on social media.
- Assist in developing strategies to increase followers and engagement.
- Web Design Role:
- Create and update website layouts, visual assets, and content.
- Help with basic front-end coding tasks and website maintenance, like fixing broken links.
- Maintain and test website functionality, identifying bugs and troubleshooting issues.
- Create new website pages and update content to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines.
- Content Creation and Campaign Management:
- Generate copy for both web and social media content.
- Collaborate with senior designers to create brand-aligned images and graphics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Wix).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).

Qualifications
