Position Summary
The Web Manager serves in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine (CI MED) Office of Marketing and Communications as the primary owner and strategic lead for the CI MED web ecosystem. This position is responsible for website page creation, maintenance governance, strategy, usability, accessibility, and day-to-day operation of CI MED websites within the institution's external content management system (CMS), Site Manager, and internal CMS, WordPress.
The Web Manager works independently on assigned website projects, making strategic decisions about design, front-end implementation, and project execution. The Web Manager coordinates web project requirements, timelines, and goals.
Acting as the central point of coordination and escalation for web initiatives, this position partners closely with Marketing & Communications (MARCOM), IT, and college units to ensure that CI MED websites are user-centered, accessible, brand-aligned, and effective in advancing institutional priorities.
This position provides strategic direction, CMS governance, and subject-matter expertise for CI MED web platforms, translating marketing and communication goals into scalable, sustainable web solutions. The role emphasizes front-end implementation and digital strategy.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5004 - Marketing Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close date. The budgeted salary range for this position is $68,000 - $78,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
