Position Overview

Tuckernuck’s Web Merchandising Associates are creative, data-driven focused on ensuring that the assortment is presented in an on-brand, clear and compelling manner that encourages customers to convert. In this role, you will be responsible for each product having the customer-facing information required to sell: description, size information, shipping, complete the look, and ensuring that everything is added to relevant collections before publishing.

You will collaborate with multiple teams (production, content, marketing, buying) on product activation. You will be responsible for tracking product conversion and sales. You will use this knowledge of your assortment to create actionable takeaways and enhance on-site presentation to market and sell products.


Core Responsibilities

  • Product Activation
    • Activate products on a daily basis as dictated by the publishing strategy. This includes writing a compelling and on-brand description, adding all selling points, and product info. Coordinate meetings across buying teams to enhance product knowledge
    • Work with production team to ensure all imagery is edited, accurate, and up to standard
    • Work with other teams to resolve publishing blockers as necessary
  • Consistent knowledge of products coming down the pipeline to identify movers and shakers, key brands and themes
  • Optimize PDPs
    • Use Shopify data to analyze high and low-converting PDPs to identify trends, and communicate insights on what’s selling well and what isn’t.
    • You will approve PDP copy and ensure all customer-facing information is sourced and communicated effectively including:
      • Product inspiration/design vision
      • Product specs
      • Informative and compelling image order
      • Complete the Look
      • UGC management
  • Inventory/Assortment knowledge and planning
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of top COG products, categories, and brands, stay apprised of what is coming down the pipeline
    • Stay up to date with In Stock, Not Online (ISNO) report. Resolve product activation blockers as needed and ensure timely activation.


  • Respond to incoming customer experience feedback/questions and requests from team members and troubleshoot
    • This includes resolving any product-related issues, improving missing or unclear descriptions and info


Minimum Qualifications

  • 1- 2 years of experience in a related role

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically
  • Strong writing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with a team player attitude
  • Familiarity with Excel and Google Suite (sheets, slides, docs)
  • Experience working with Shopify, SearchSpring, and Netsuite is a plus
  • Incredible organization skills and stellar problem-solving skills with attention to detail
