Your Role and Impact
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Website Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing initiatives to leverage MRCOOL’s website to drive traffic. This position will be involved in web strategies, development, and design to streamline the end user experience and manage and measure the implementation of digital marketing strategies. The Web Manager works with the IT, Web Development, and Marketing teams to establish and monitor metrics to guide the website and digital marketing efforts.
Strategic & Technical Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for the company's website, with a strong focus on UI and technical on-page SEO best practices.
- Provide expert guidance and hands-on technical leadership, particularly within the Vercel, MySQL, React, Vue, PHP, Strapi ecosystem, ensuring the platform is technically optimized for search engines.
- Lead technical initiatives, including site architecture, internal linking, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile-friendliness.
- Stay current with evolving search engine algorithms and industry trends to ensure the website maintains a competitive edge in organic search.
Team & Project Management:
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional team, including frontend, backend, and UX/UI developers and designers, ensuring all web projects are executed with SEO and mobile as core considerations.
- Translate business objectives into technical requirements, acting as the central point of contact for website requests and ensuring SEO is integrated into every stage of project development.
- Manage the project pipeline effectively using Agile and Scrum methodology, ensuring all web initiatives from new feature development to content updates are delivered on time and with a focus on maximizing organic traffic.
Performance & Operations:
- Responsible for overall web performance, monitoring key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, accessibility, and technical crawlability.
- Establish and enforce operational procedures for code quality, deployment, and site maintenance.
- Utilize analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of SEO and web performance strategies, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years experience in web related field such as Web Design, Digital Media, or Computer Science.
- 7+ years of experience developing, designing, administering, and implementing websites.
- Strong project management, Agile/Scrum, and presentation skills.
- Scripting languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, PHP, ASP, PERL, CGI, DHTML, AJAX.
- Exceptional technical skills in computer applications for web production, image handling, publishing and design, illustration, presentation preparation, motion graphics, web interaction, and/or other state-of-the-art web communication capabilities.
- Strong management and interpersonal skills.
