Weekday Dog Walker & Cat Sitter

Established in 2013, Creature Comforts of Columbia is a local and well-loved in-home pet care company, meeting the needs of a wide variety of pets and clients. We are seeking professionals who not only love animals but also understand the responsibilities and skills involved in caring for them. You will provide daytime dog walking while our clients are at work, along with cat care in our clients' homes when they travel. The work schedule varies depending on the client's needs and the service provided. Our hours are 9 to 5 daily, with some opportunities for after-hours care. Dog walking hours are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and may require 5 to 7 miles of walking per day.

We are looking to expand our team of pet sitters and dog walkers with individuals who bring a positive attitude, strong time management, and a high level of integrity. Previous work with animals in a veterinary, boarding, or doggy daycare setting is a plus.

This job entails driving your personal vehicle from client to client, so a reliable, insured vehicle with the ability to transport animals is required. Employees generally average 100 miles per 20 hours worked.

If you take night classes, are a retiree, or have flexible hours around another job, dog walking may be a perfect fit for you.

Please note: if you are a student who goes home or out of town over breaks and holidays, this is not a good fit.

A few requirements

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Must live in Columbia (within our service area is a plus).
• A reliable, insured vehicle with the ability to transport animals.

Compensation All of our staff are employees (W-2), not independent contractors (1099). Pay starts at $15 per hour, plus tips and optional mileage reimbursement of $0.20 per mile.
