Weekend Pet Sitter

K-9 & Katnip Pet Services is a professional pet care service provider seeking to hire ONE WEEKEND PET SITTER. The ideal candidate would be a HUGE animal lover, honest, self - manageable, dependable, and hard-working.

We’re seeking a candidate who can commit to working at least two weekends per month (Saturday and Sunday). Availability on major holidays that fall during those weekends is required, as well as coverage on major holidays that fall on the weekends.

Our visits can be scheduled anywhere between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm. The more flexibility you have in your schedule, the more money you can make.

We do offer overnight stays in client's home while they are away caring for their pets from 7pm - 7am. This is not required for this position, but if you are interested in adding these to your services you can make more money by doing so.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in animal care or other related fields(preferred)
• Must be 18 years of age
• Passion to help and treat animals
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and maintain insurance on the vehicle
• Work outside in all types of weather
• If having a very structured environment is what you thrive best in, this is not the job for you
• Our daily work schedule varies from the next

Requirements:

• Must have a smart phone with unlimited text and data
• Must love dogs(all breeds) and cats
• Must be flexible
• Must be willing to make a commitment to work throughout the remainder of the 2026 calendar year.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• commit to working at least two weekends per month (Saturday and Sunday). Availability on holidays that fall during those weekends is required, as well as coverage on any major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend pet sitting services for various animals, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of pets under care, following specific instructions provided by pet owners.
• Engage in playtime and exercise routines tailored to each pet's needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for pets, including litter box cleaning and waste disposal.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding any updates or concerns during the pet sitting assignment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per week
