Position: Shop Welder

We are a well‑established fabrication company based in Birkenhead and are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team.

The Role

You will be carrying out high‑quality welding primarily in stainless steel and carbon steel. Work will involve the manufacture of tanks, pipework and structural components, all to a high technical standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform butt and fillet welds on stainless and carbon steel
• Welding of tanks, pipework and structural components
• Work to detailed fabrication drawings and WPS
• Produce welds suitable for NDT
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proficient in TIG, MMA and FCAW welding processes
• Ability to pass welder coding’s to EN ISO 9606-1 and ASME IX
• Experience working on fabrication projects subject to NDT
• Good understanding of welding procedures and standards
• Reliable, detail‑focused and able to work independently or as part of a team
