Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills is highly desirable.
