Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/installer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting various steel products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a can do attitude and experience in various welding and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and other welding processes on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components
• Fabricate parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
• Fit fabricated items to farm buildings and commercial/residential properties
• Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated parts for quality assurance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
• Assist in the assembly of finished products as required
• Read technical drawings and interpret measurements for precise fabrication

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of standard practice
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements
• Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes
• Experience working with various materials including steel, aluminium, or other metals
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
