Company Overview

We are a sub-subcontractor in the Oil & Gas sector, providing essential QA/QC and construction services to major projects across Qatar. To support our growing operations, we are hiring multiple Welding Inspectors (QA/QC) to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all welding works across project sites.

Role Overview

The Welding Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and documenting welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures, international standards, and client requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in welding inspection, NDT coordination, and QA/QC reporting within Oil & Gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect welding activities to ensure compliance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and ITPs.
  • Verify welder qualifications, consumables, and equipment calibration.
  • Monitor fit-up, alignment, root pass, and final weld quality.
  • Coordinate with third-party NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) agencies and review test reports.
  • Conduct visual inspections and dimensional checks on completed welds.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWS, and project specifications.
  • Prepare daily welding inspection reports and submit to QA/QC management.
  • Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support final documentation and handover dossiers to the client.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years as a Welding Inspector in the Oil & Gas sector (Qatar/GCC preferred).
  • Certifications (mandatory):
  • CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).
  • NDT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation systems.
  • Good communication and reporting skills in English.
