The
Welding Supervisor
is responsible for overseeing daily welding operations to ensure all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications. The role involves allocating manpower and equipment, monitoring weld quality, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with QC, HSE, and other departments to meet production targets. The Welding Supervisor ensures proper use of welding resources, enforces safety standards, resolves technical or manpower issues, and provides daily progress updates to management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma / ITI Welding Technology, or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Minimum
5–8 years
of relevant experience in welding supervision.

Experience in
Oil & Gas, piping, pipe fabrication.

Knowledge of welding standards such as
ASME, AWS, ISO
.

Strong knowledge of TIG, MIG, SAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and automation welding processes.

Familiar with WPS, PQR, WPQ, ITP, and welding codes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and weld symbols.

Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise day-to-day welding activities in line with project schedule and priorities.

Ensure all welding work is performed as per approved WPS, ITP, drawings, and project specifications.

Allocate welders, helpers, and equipment to achieve production targets.

Verify that welders are qualified and deployed only for approved welding processes.
-
Monitor weld quality and control repairs to minimize rework and delays.

Coordinate closely with QC, HSE and Stores departments.

Ensure availability and proper utilization of welding machines, consumables, and tools.

Maintain welding-related documentation including welder performance records, repair logs, and daily progress reports.

Identify technical or manpower-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Enforce compliance with HSE policies, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe execution of welding activities.

Report daily progress, manpower deployment, and constraints to management.
