Wire Products Supervisor

Position Summary:

This position is a combination working position and supervisory position for our control products division within our hydraulics facility. The successful candidate will have an understanding of basic electrical circuits and control components such as switches, diodes, LEDs and wiring. Strong attention to detail is essential to this position. This position entails supervising assembly technicians and scheduling their daily work. Creating assembly documentation, organizing inventory physical locations and inputting info into our computer system is a requirement. The individual will need to work within our ERP system to release and document orders to the shop floor.

Essential Functions:

• Review open orders and schedule work for yourself and other workers
• Ability to use hand tools to crimp, solder and assemble control boxes.
• Follow QC procedures to test and verify product is suitable for shipment to customer.
• Troubleshoot and test all assemblies and return goods
• Assist sales and production department in developing prototypes or new product.
• Looks for Opportunities for Improvement and implement them
• Maintain production equipment and tools
• Ensure work area is clean, safe and well maintained
• Assist and diagnose returned product evaluations
• Meet or exceed target dates for completion of work.
• Accurately and thoroughly record all work hours, actual work description for data purposes. listing parts used for inventory, and all other necessary documentation, and initial all entries for accountability
• Maintain close communication with Sales staff and Management

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years trade certification in related production
• Experience in Manufacturing (2 years minimum)
• Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics is desired as well (but can be taught)
• Supervisory experience and the ability to work as part of a team (2 years minimum)

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in pressure and time orientated expectations
• Proficient in working with computer software.
• Good organizational skills
• Good communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
