Woodwork & Crafts Animator (For Children) | MAF Entertainment | Operations
ROLE SUMMARY
The Woodwork & Crafts Animator leads creative, hands-on sessions for children aged 5+, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. The role focuses on inspiring creativity, maintaining high safety standards, and building positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
ROLE PROFILE

Lead and support hands-on wood and crafts workshops, delivering engaging, age-appropriate sessions that promote creativity and learning for children and families.

Foster a positive, supportive environment for children by modeling curiosity, creativity, and care; manage behavior effectively using appropriate techniques.

Build strong, respectful communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and ensuring a welcoming, family-friendly experience.

Enforce strict safety protocols during all workshop activities especially when using tools and materials ensuring children's safety is the top priority.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in workshop areas and ensure daily sanitation routines are followed in line with MAFE and regulatory guidelines.

Conduct daily checks of workshop tools, equipment, and space to identify hazards, ensure functionality, and report any safety concerns promptly.

Follow and support the delivery of structured lesson plans aligned with the creative learning framework, while contributing ideas for improving workshop content.

Work closely with fellow animators and support staff to ensure smooth operations, providing guidance, and maintain a collaborative, child-first environment.
REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1–2 years of experience working directly with children in educational, recreational, or entertainment settings.

Hands-on ability in woodwork, arts, and crafts, with a strong understanding of safe tool usage and creative workshop delivery.

Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written), with excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication abilities. Arabic language fluency is highly desirable

Knowledge of safety procedures, child protection, and hygiene standards; ability to enforce and follow health and safety protocols.

Excellent interpersonal abilities to engage children, communicate professionally with parents, and collaborate with team members.

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts; a proactive, energetic team player who can adapt quickly to changing situations.
