We are looking for a WordPress Developer with strong expertise in creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong command of PHP and WordPress APIs.

As a WordPress Developer, this role reports to the Technical Manager and works closely with product, design, and QA teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in WordPress core, custom plugin/theme development, and performance optimization, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Over time, this person is expected to grow into a key technical leader, driving architecture decisions, improving development processes, and shaping the future direction of the platform.
- Lead the development of custom WordPress themes, plugins, and REST API integrations to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Optimize website performance, security, and Core Web Vitals to ensure fast and reliable user experiences.
- Architect and implement scalable site structures, ensuring clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Manage version control (Git), deployment workflows for smooth releases.
- Research and implement new WordPress features, tools, and emerging technologies to improve development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues across multiple environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience, including custom plugin/theme development, REST API integration, and performance optimization.
- Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript , HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Proficiency in modern build tools (Webpack, Gulp, npm) and version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, filters, and best practices for scalability and security.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce, Gutenberg/Block Editor, and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with server environments (NGINX/Apache), caching, and CDN setup.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and manage small teams.
Certifications (Preferred): WordPress Certified Developer, PHP Certification, or relevant web development certifications.
Other Requirements: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
