WordPress Developer

We are seeking a capable WordPress Developer to become part of our growing technology team. In this role, you will handle the development, enhancement, and ongoing management of websites across various CMS platforms, with primary responsibility for WordPress projects spanning both front-end and back-end functionality. As well as hands-on development, including theme customization, plugin development, API integrations, and database-driven features while ensuring responsive, high-performance interfaces. You will also contribute to projects across Webflow, Shopify, GoHighLevel (GHL), and Zapier to support integrations and automation workflows, collaborating with designers, project managers, and senior developers to deliver secure, scalable, and performance-driven digital solutions aligned with project goals.

Responsibilities

WordPress Development (Front-End & Back-End)

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
• Convert Figma/XD designs into responsive WordPress layouts.
• Build custom templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Develop custom functionality using hooks, filters, and WordPress APIs.
• Create or modify custom post types, taxonomies, and meta fields.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and marketing tools.
• Optimize database queries and improve site performance.

CMS & Platform Management

• Build and manage pages in Webflow and Shopify (theme edits, product setup, content structuring).
• Configure funnels, automations, and workflows in GoHighLevel (GHL).
• Set up and manage integrations using Zapier and webhooks.
• Handle content population and structured CMS data implementation.

Technical & Maintenance Tasks

• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement security best practices and basic hardening.
• Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts, and server-related issues.
• Perform routine backups, updates, and version control management.
• Work with hosting environments (cPanel, FTP, SSH, DNS configurations).
• Assist in staging-to-production deployments.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of PHP in WordPress context (themes, plugins, hooks, REST API).
• Experience creating or customizing WordPress plugins.
• Experience working with custom post types, ACF, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with MySQL database structure and queries.
• Experience with at least one page builder (Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg).
• Working knowledge of Webflow, Shopify, GoHighLevel (GHL), and Zapier.
• Ability to integrate third-party APIs and use webhooks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with WooCommerce customizations.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON handling.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with headless CMS concepts.
• Knowledge of performance optimization (caching, lazy loading, asset optimization).
• Exposure to CI/CD or structured deployment processes.
• Agency experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
