Workday HCM Configuration Analyst

We are seeking a skilled professional with deep expertise in Workday HCM to support and enhance technology solutions across targeted customer segments. This role partners closely with senior HR leaders to leverage Workday in achieving strategic business objectives, including configuring system functionality and optimizing business processes.

The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams to deliver effective solutions, proactively identify opportunities to better support internal stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This position also plays a key role in mentoring junior team members while working alongside senior colleagues to drive innovation and operational excellence.

What you will be doing in this position

  • Tier 3 support for inquiries that require deep subject matter expertise
  • Workday enhancements/new functionality and testing
  • Analytics/dashboard requirements definition, and report/scorecard creation.
  • Creation of Human capital data analytics for leaders (e.g., turnover, tenure, etc.)
  • Configuration and maintenance of Workday business process and workflows, approvals, routing, and notifications
  • User-based, role-based security configuration, domain security policy inclusions/exclusions, BP security policy inclusions/exclusions, etc.
  • Proactively partner with departments and Functional CoE’s to understand unit business issues, analyze data, and suggest ways to leverage Workday to enhance their services
  • Define HR technology requirements
  • Creation of EIB and mass data change templates and processes
  • Provide oversight and guidance for all system configuration changes
  • Support Workday data governance policy and processes; perform data quality and compliance audits

What qualifies you for this role

Education/Experience

Minimum education/experience required:

  • Four-year college degree and at least 3 years of experience in business environments with emphasis on information technology, business strategy, consulting, project management, process analysis and design, systems architecture, or equivalent combination of experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in Workday HCM
  • Completion of formal Workday training (e.g., Workday HCM Fundamentals, + other Workday functional area training)
  • Advanced Workday experience across configuration, business processes, reporting, and security

Preferred:

  • Workday Pro certification in one or more functional areas
  • MBA, MIS, or similar experience and/or education

Pay Grade : 54T

Typical Starting Pay : $88,000-$114,000

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
