Workday HRIS Functional Consultant (TLA & Payroll)

Job Responsibility

The role sits within the HR Functional area and acts as the liaison between business

and IT, translating complex business needs into application technology solutions. The

consultant should demonstrate proficiency in both technical and business acumen, with

the ability to assess the implications of application configurations and technology

enhancements on current and future business environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and influence HRIS business application requirements to

address complex and varied business process needs.

Design, develop, and maintain HRIS solutions aligned with organizational HR

processes.

Define HRIS project tasks, contribute to business project plans, identify SMEs,

and coordinate resources across the enterprise.

 Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are incorporated

into system design and validated through testing.

Partner with business stakeholders to advise on HRIS applications, integrations,

and implementation approaches.

Provide user support and act as a subject matter expert to resolve application-

related issues.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or

related field.

Workday Certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

 Minimum 3–4 years of functional Workday experience, with strong expertise

in Time, Leave, and Absence (TLA) and Payroll modules.

 At least one end-to-end Workday implementation project completed.

Skills & Competencies:

 Expertise in Workday TLA; knowledge of Payroll module is a strong advantage.

 Experience in at least one end-to-end Workday implementation project.

Practical exposure to Workday projects involving HR data migration and/or

integrations.

Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage

customer expectations.

Analytical mindset with experience using HR analytics and reporting tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both

functional and management-level audiences as well as clients.

Proficiency in HRIS platforms, Program Management tools, and MS Office.
