Workers' Compensation Case Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Case Manager to join our plaintiff-side law firm. This role is central to ensuring injured workers receive the support and representation they deserve. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload from intake through resolution, maintaining close communication with clients, medical providers, and attorneys to keep cases moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation files from opening to settlement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and answering questions with compassion and professionalism.
  • Request, track, and organize medical records, bills, and other supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with doctors, adjusters, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the claim.
  • Prepare case summaries, settlement demands, and other key documents for attorney review.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and task management within the firm’s case management system (Filevine/Lead Docket or similar).
  • Monitor deadlines, hearings, and medical appointments to ensure timely action.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, lien resolution, and settlement negotiations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience handling workers’ compensation or personal injury cases strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with California WCAB procedures, EAMS filings, and discovery process a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills — both client-facing and internal.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
