Job Title: Workforce Development Manager
Supervisor: Director of PeopleCulture
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Status: Full-time (40 hours) Exempt
Qualifications: Associate's degree in business/human resources or three plus years of leadership experience and managing the talent acquisition process, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with HR policies, federal and state labor laws, and interviewing skills. Excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a team environment and establish strong working relationships. Strong organizational and time management skills. A flexible solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think creatively. Proficient Microsoft Suite skills, strong project management skills. Experience with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding is required. Valid NYS driver's license and the ability to travel locally and regionally three to five days per month.
Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical office setting but may be exposed to extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, listening, talking and/or visual concentration, writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 30 pounds.
Position Summary: The Workforce Development Manager will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience from day one. By effectively integrating new hires into the company culture and ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed, this position will help foster a sense of belonging and commitment. You will ensure that new employees are effectively integrated into the company's culture and operations. In this role, you'll act as a liaison between new employees and their managers, answer any questions they may have, and help them feel comfortable and confident in their new roles.
