Job Description:

Workforce Development Programmer (Staff Associate), Corporate and Professional Education

Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week

Campus Location: Danvers Campus (office location) In Person (Hybrid Options)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (some after hour events)

SALARY: Anticipated salary range $70,000.00 - $75,000.00. The offered salary will be commensurate with experience and education, but will not exceed the stated range. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Oversees the instructional design and delivery of all non-credit workforce related courses/programs/certificates for the Division of Corporate and Professional Education. Prepares and manages budgets with an eye toward revenue generation. Works with career centers, advisory boards made up of vendors, corporations, municipalities, community leaders, students, and faculty to assess community needs and to design, develop/generate new workforce educational programs. Enhances existing programs/courses and sets standards, including online course offerings through vendor platforms. Develops, enhances, refines, expands, and schedules existing program offerings while researching, proposing, and developing new markets. Supports the Operations Director in developing consistent, high-quality operational policies and procedures, and assists in coordinating related operational activities. Represents the division and the college at meetings and planning sessions. Emphasis in this position will be on identifying, and implementing market-responsive and revenue-generating initiatives for Health Career Certificates, Careers and Licensing programs, Trades, Computers, High Tech, ESOL, and other career, technology, and courses/programs as needed for Corporate and Professional Education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Researches and recommends market trends for the purpose of developing new workforce courses/programs.
  • Responsible for budget planning and management and makes strategic decisions based on data.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, oversees workforce program instructors, including coordination of schedules.
  • Handles student concerns and issues.
  • Oversees curriculum development, collects, reviews, revises, and approves syllabi.
  • Reviews and approves off- the- shelf curriculum from external vendors and negotiates terms of agreements, including online training platforms.
  • Analyzes and selects appropriate off- campus sites and negotiates and oversees off- site agreements for programs.
  • Schedules classes with Director.
  • Participates in marketing meetings and strategies for new/ existing classes.
  • Represents programs to internal and external communities, including advisory boards.
  • Works closely with HR , Accessibility Services, and other student support services to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Works with credit deans and faculty on pathways for programs from non-credit to credit.
  • Oversees student satisfaction evaluation process and uses data to make key decisions.
  • Manages state site approvals for programs such as Nurse Assistant, including executing application, curricula oversight, ensuring state standards and regulations of facility and equipment.
  • In collaboration with the team, supports enrollment processes to channel students into appropriate programs/courses.
  • Updates certificates and programs as trends dictate.
  • Determines and ensures pathways to credit programs and works with academic deans and faculty when appropriate.
  • Coordinates meetings with other departments and external agencies for program review and coordination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience developing non-credit workforce and community programs or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in Community College course design and budget/grant management.
  • Experience in assessment of community needs and designing relevant course programming.
  • Experience working on a leadership team to setup educational programming through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Process oriented with superb organizational skills and a strong ability to multitask.
  • Proven research and analytical skills.
  • Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to analyze data and meet budget requirements.
  • Candidate will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment
