Job Summary:

This position requires a construction minded individual. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation of high-quality fences for commercial properties. You will lead a team of dedicated fence installers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Follow schedules and monitor attendance of crew members to maintain the timeline of job(s)
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities to meet project goals
  • Supervise and train crew members
  • Resolve problems when they arise
  • Report on-site progress to superintendent or project manager
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • Clean and ensure all equipment is in proper working order
  • Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
  • Translate job tasks to co-workers in ways they can understand
  • Look over layout
  • Calculate concrete requirements accurately
  • Coordinate materials/equipment timelines and deliveries
  • Proficient in reading blueprints
  • Forecast manpower needs
  • Oversee daily safety/housekeeping
  • Ability to manage people
  • Read and interpret grade stakes
  • Verify the one call is complete and all markings have been identified
  • Communicate day-to-day progress
  • Jobsite forecasting
  • Corrective Action Forms
  • Evaluations with crew (60-Day and other evaluations)
  • OSHA 10, working toward OSHA 30
  • Class A CDL preferred

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent is required

  • US work authorization is required

  • Valid driver’s license is required, reliable transportation, a CDL is a plus

  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting

  • Willing to work M-F with weekends, 8–12-hour shifts, and overtime when needed

  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and all power tools

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, i.e. skid loader, telescoping boom lift, etc.

  • OSHA 30 (Preferred)
