Workshop Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Automobile Workshop Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automobile

workshop. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating repair and maintenance activities, and

maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The role also involves handling administrative tasks,

ensuring compliance with company policies, and optimizing workflow and productivity in the workshop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Workshop Operations Management:

 Coordinate daily activities in the workshop, including receiving vehicles, opening job cards, follow up

and update about vehicle status to customer and workshop Engineer and supervisor team.

 Schedule and prioritize work to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.

 Monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.

 Maintain and enforce quality standards for all repairs and services.

Staff Supervision and Development:

 Support workshop staff, including technicians, mechanics, and other support staff.

 Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.

 Provide guidance and support to ensure staff adhere to safety and quality standards.

Customer Service and Relationship Management:

 Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing concerns and providing updates on vehicle repairs

and maintenance.

 Coordinate with the service team to ensure customer needs are met and satisfaction is maintained.

 Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, striving for positive outcomes.

Tools Inventory and Equipment Management:

 Maintain inventory of tools required for daily operations.

 Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any required repairs or

replacements.

Compliance and Safety:

 Ensure that workshop practices comply with health and safety regulations.

 Conduct regular safety checks and implement corrective actions when necessary.

 Promote a safety-conscious culture within the team by providing training and ensuring adherence to

safety protocols.

Administrative and Reporting Duties:

 Maintain records of all work orders, parts used, and repairs completed.

 Prepare regular reports for management on workshop performance, productivity, and customer

satisfaction.

 Track and manage operational expenses, providing insights into budget requirements and cost-saving

opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:

 Identify areas for improvement in processes, workflow, and customer service.

 Collaborate with management to implement changes that enhance efficiency and service quality.

 Stay updated on industry trends, new tools, and technologies to ensure the workshop remains

competitive.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience in a workshop or service center.

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

 Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Proficient in MS Office

 Knowledge in SAP or any other ERP application is mandatory.

 Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management

 Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time

 Skills to operate common office equipment

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
