Workshop Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Workshop Engineer position located in Giza. The Workshop Engineer will oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. Responsibilities include conducting detailed workshops, coordinating with team members, diagnosing mechanical issues, and providing technical training to enhance team skills and knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and allocate work to technicians and mechanics based on workload and expertise.

· Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.

· Ensure all equipment and tools are well-maintained and operational.

· Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical or electrical issues.

· Conduct quality checks and test drives on repaired vehicles to ensure work is completed to high standards.

· Enforce workshop safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

· Conduct routine inspections to ensure tools, machinery, and workstations meet safety standards.

· Collaborate with the service team to provide accurate cost estimates and timelines to customers.

· Address customer concerns and provide technical explanations when required.

· Supervise, mentor, and train workshop staff to improve their technical skills and efficiency.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to the team.

· Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on workshop performance, productivity, and efficiency.


Qualifications

Educational and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

· 1-4 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance, including supervisory roles

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs.

· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
