If so, Wound Care Advantage is the place to be! WCA is currently seeking a qualified, outgoing, team-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT) with the ability to work Fulltime at the Center for Wound Care of Placentia-Linda Hospital.

As part of this role, you will be required to complete a 1-week Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) training course . This training is fully funded by the company. After completing 480 hours (approximately 6 months) of hyperbaric chamber work, you will be expected to pursue CHT certification. The company will also cover the cost of certification.

Job Summary

The CMA/EMT should have experience in collections, insurance and billing and presenting treatment plans. We are looking for an honest and friendly team player with strong leadership capabilities. Provide patient care and staff support, including, documenting patients’ vital signs, and removing any dressings. Organizes and prioritizes work to provide a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, responsible for medical supplies orders and stocking and light clerical duties. Other duties include:

• Setting up the exam room for clinic opening
• Maintaining neatness and order in the unit, waiting room and patient rooms
• Assist in placing the patient in the room onto the exam table and off the exam table and out of the exam room.
• Carrying out personal hygiene procedures for patients
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical team and provider of patient's arrival, is aware of delays, and communicates with patients and clinical staff.
• Obtain vital signs, report abnormal results to nurse and record accurately in patient record.
• Performing skills/services according to accepted procedures. Included but not limited to: taking Specimens to the lab, removing top layer of a wound dressing, setting up the stand with normal saline, gauzes and assisting with any other patient activities.
• Notifying the Clinical Manager and or RN of anything in the patient’s condition that requires attention.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification is required.
• Must maintain current provider BLS certification throughout employment.
• Fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus in accordance with Federal CDC and State/Local regulatory guidance.
• CHT (Certified Hyperbaric Technologist) is a plus, but we are willing to train for the right candidate.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
