Yard Laborer

Job Summary

Join our team as a Yard Laborer and become a vital part of our outdoor operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe yard environment while efficiently handling recyclable materials, waste, and heavy equipment. Your hands-on work will support transfer station management, solid waste operations, ensuring environmental compliance and safety at all times. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work outdoors, operate various material handling equipment, and contribute to sustainable waste management practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, Fork- Lift, Tractor Trailer, and Roll-Off.
• Handle recyclable materials with care, ensuring proper sorting and processing in accordance with recycling standards
• Assist with transfer station management tasks including waste placement, site cleanup, and environmental compliance measures.
• Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all activities.
• Conduct outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety and sanitation standards.
• Support cleanup efforts by removing debris and maintaining the cleanliness of the yard area.

Skills

• Proven experience operating material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, excavators, roll-off trucks, and tractor-Trailer.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety regulations.
• Familiarity with transfer station operations, solid waste management practices, recycling procedures, and sanitation protocols.
• Outdoor work experience with an understanding of safety protocol adherence in active yard environments.
• Excellent attention to detail for inspections, safety checks, and proper handling of recyclable or hazardous materials.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
