Youngstock Foreman

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the feeding, bedding, and general care of youngstock according to agreed-upon procedures and nutritional programs. This includes managing housing environments to ensure cleanliness and suitability for healthy development.
• Constantly monitoring the health of the animals, administering treatments and vaccinations as needed, and coordinating with veterinarians or specialists.
• Leading, training, and mentoring a team of farm workers or assistants. This includes coordinating daily tasks, setting work schedules, and ensuring all team members adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintaining accurate records related to animal weight and growth (e.g., weighing calves regularly), treatments, vaccinations, and general daily operations. This data is used to monitor performance and efficiency.
• Operating and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment (e.g., tractors, telehandlers, feeding systems). Notifying managers of any breakages or breakdowns promptly.
• Assisting with managing inventory of feed, bedding, and supplies, and ensuring all necessary resources are available for the crew.
• Enforcing all farm health and safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
• Supporting other farm operations and assisting the Youngstock Manager in all routine jobs, which may include field work, fencing, or building maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,600.00 per month
