Job Summary

Duties

• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including arts, sports, theater, and educational games
• Manage classroom or activity space effectively through strong classroom management and behavior management techniques
• Provide guidance and support to children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
• Ensure safety by applying first aid procedures when necessary and maintaining a secure environment at all times
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community partners to support children's social-emotional well-being and academic progress
• Implement childcare best practices during daycare or camp programs, ensuring compliance with licensing standards
• Use tutoring strategies to assist children with homework or learning challenges in subjects such as early childhood education or childhood development

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings such as daycare, camp, babysitting, or tutoring is highly desirable
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices
• Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling is a plus for enriching program activities
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in childhood development or early childhood education is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds in a dynamic environment
