We are seeking a caregiving provider that is patient, positive, and possesses a calm demeanor that can provide safety and companionship to a pre-school aged autistic boy. Your role will be to engage with the child through meaningful, developmentally appropriate activities, while supporting his individual needs and routines.
Schedule & Pay:
o Care provided in the child's home and nearby park
o Playing in the backyard
o Going to the park/going on walks
o Playing with toy cars, stuffed animals
o Watching tv/having it on for background noise
Responsibilities-
- Engage in meaningful interactions
- Provide companionship by implementing favorite activities into schedule
- Meal prepping & feeding
- Redirect behaviors when needed
- Assist with cleaning up after toileting and changing pull ups
- Assisting with bedtime routine
Requirements-
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Experience working with autism/special needs children
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance
- 2 years of driving experience
- Background check before hire
