YouTube Automation Strategist (Remote)

Job Overview

PFOC is hiring a YouTube Automation Strategist to plan, structure, and manage faceless YouTube content. This role is focused on content strategy, audience retention, and performance optimization, not video editing. You will be responsible for shaping video ideas, improving watch time, guiding editors and writers, and ensuring each video aligns with YouTube growth and monetization goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop content strategies for YouTube automation and faceless channels
• Research winning niches, video ideas, titles, and formats
• Validate niches using demand vs competition analysis, including search trends, RPM potential, and competitor mapping
• Decide whether a niche is suitable for long-term automation and scaling, not just short-term or viral potential
• Create detailed video briefs for writers, voice-over artists, and editors
• Structure videos for strong hooks, pacing, and audience retention
• Optimize content specifically for YouTube Browse and Suggested traffic, not only Search-based discovery
• Analyze channel performance, CTR, watch time, and retention metrics
• Review scripts and video drafts from a performance and retention perspective before final upload
• Monitor KPIs such as average view duration, retention curves, CTR, and monthly growth targets
• Optimize content strategy based on YouTube analytics and platform trends
• Maintain consistent branding, tone, and positioning across channels
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth content execution
• Manage content calendars and publishing schedules

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in YouTube automation, content strategy, or channel management
• Strong understanding of the YouTube algorithm, retention strategy, and viewer psychology
• Ability to plan engaging video structures without doing the editing
• Experience working with faceless or automated YouTube channels
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Portfolio or examples of YouTube channels or automation projects worked on (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple YouTube channels
• Understanding of YouTube monetization models and scaling strategies
• Familiarity with SEO-based titles, thumbnail strategy, and CTR optimization
• Experience using YouTube Studio and analytics tools

• This role does not involve video editing, thumbnail design, or voice-over work. Strategy and performance ownership only.
